Senior Patrol Leader Ethan Kimack honored past Senior Patrol Leaders, Eagle Scouts and Troop members.
The Color Guard closed the celebration.
As part of the preparation for the 50th anniversary, the Troop Historian took the existing Troop history and conducted extensive research to build a more full version that started with the founding of the Troop. He spoke to, emailed or texted with over 100 individuals, including former 615 scouts and adults, District and Council staffers, Howard County, Ellicott City and Columbia government personnel and reporters, the Howard County Historical Society, BSA Northern Tier, Sea Base and Philmont staffers. The information gathered provided a more accurate history of the Troop, especially pre-2000, prior to Tommy DeWeese becoming Scoutmaster.
2000 - 2010
2010 - 2020
During the last 50 years, the Troop has seen over 100 Eagle Scouts under the leadership of 7 Scoutmasters. This would not have been possible without the help of all the scout parents and families and the community who supports the Troop.
Here is to the next 50 years of Scout activities. Please check the History page for the Troop's history.
