The Holiday Flag Program

Show your patriotism and support your local Scouts! 

The 2025 Holiday Flag Program is a fundraiser offered through Scout Troop 615 based at Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City, MD. Your suggested $50 donation ensures that an American flag will be displayed at your home during the week of each of four patriotic holidays in 2025:

• Memorial Day (Monday, May 26) —
  Flag displayed from May 24 to May 31, 2025

• Independence Day (Friday, July 4) — Flag displayed
  from June 28 to July 6 (may may be placed a day or
  two early based on scout availability)

• Labor Day / September 11 commemoration
  (Monday, September 1 / Thursday, September 11) —
  Flag displayed from August 30 to September 13

• Veteran’s Day (Tuesday, November 11) —
  Flag displayed from November 8 to 15

NOTE: All dates are tentative and subject to change based weather events which may impact the safe installation, display, or removal of flags. 

All funds raised through this program will directly benefit Scouts in Troop 615 to help pay the costs of Summer Camp, monthly camping trips, High Adventure, Eagle Scout projects, and other leadership and character development opportunities.

For 2025, this program is offered only to residents of the community surrounding Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City, MD.

The installation will consist of a crisp 5’x3’ American flag on a sturdy 10-foot pole in front of each donor’s home for approximately one week – typically Saturday to Saturday – surrounding each Holiday. For the Labor Day Holiday, flags will be installed for approximately two (2) weeks to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11. 

Each 10-foot flagpole will be held by a metal stake driven approximately 8” into the ground near your mailbox, driveway or other spot designated by you. If you have underground installations (invisible pet fence, lawn sprinklers, etc.) please note them in the PayPal comments. Flags will be lit from sunset to sunrise using solar spotlights.
